Werde annual meeting April 14th 2013 – Werden vuosikokous 14.4.2013

We kindly invite you all to Werde annual meeting, which will be held on Sunday April 14th at 12.00 Finnish time (+2 GMT). The meeting is at Tuuli’s place in Vantaa. There are many great ideas to improve the life of disadvantaged children in Negros Oriental, Philippines.These ideas come from the people who know the needs and aspirations of children with difficulties.

Adopt a Project aims at helping people and organisations working with disadvantaged children in Dumaguete City and surrounding areas to express their ideas and ask for support.

Werde voluntary board meeting April 23rd

Voluntary Board of Werde met on Monday April 23rd in Jutz cafe Dumaguete City. Katja, Arnaldo, Therre, Joy and Glenda discussed the updates on implementation of the first batch of proposals and reviewed the new proposals submitted to us. New reporting form is ready and we are encouraging the partners to submit their reports as soon as activity is implemented. The Werde will then post some stories and testimonials on our web site for everyone to read and learn. Among the new applicants the board agreed to post one new proposal to the web site. The proposal aims to fund external resource persons for the Gender and Environment Summer Camp that is organized in Dumaguete in May.

Next deadline for submission of applications is June 15th 2012.

‘Adopt a Project’ board meeting

The members of the volunteer board of the ‘Adopt a Project’ initiative have met on 16. March in Dumaguete. In the meeting we have confirmed that all the projects from the the first round of applications launched before Christmas are funded and have started. A second round of call for proposal for local NGOs  is not open and will last until the end of March 2012. We will then review the proposal and post on our web site the projects and activities that have been selected and that are seeking funding and support.
