We are inviting all individuals and organizations working with disadvantaged children in Negros Oriental to submit proposals for the second round of applications for Werde “adopt a project” initiative. The deadline for applications is March 25 2013 and application format can be downloaded through our application page.

Do you have a project ideas or a specific activity that you would like to fund?
There are many great ideas to improve the life of disadvantaged children in Negros Oriental, Philippines.These ideas come from the people who know the needs and aspirations of children with difficulties.
Adopt a Project aims at helping people and organisations working with disadvantaged children in Dumaguete City and surrounding areas to express their ideas and ask for support.

Most of the projects funded in December 2011 have now been implemented and reported.
You can already read about the Summer camp that was held in May. Sports materials are now in use in Casa Esperanza and Little Children of the Philippines can now use new materials in School on Wheels!
The Youth Camp 2012 held in Dumaguete has been supported by Werde through the ‘Adopt-a-Project’ initiative launched in December 2011. Thank you all for the support provided to our initiative
Voluntary Board of Werde met on Monday April 23rd in Jutz cafe Dumaguete City. Katja, Arnaldo, Therre, Joy and Glenda discussed the updates on implementation of the first batch of proposals and reviewed the new proposals submitted to us. New reporting form is ready and we are encouraging the partners to submit their reports as soon as activity is implemented. The Werde will then post some stories and testimonials on our web site for everyone to read and learn. Among the new applicants the board agreed to post one new proposal to the web site. The proposal aims to fund external resource persons for the Gender and Environment Summer Camp that is organized in Dumaguete in May.
Next deadline for submission of applications is June 15th 2012.
